Totty became a therapist out of an early drive to help others. Her career as an Art Therapist began after always being involved in creative pursuits such as art and dance and then realizing she could put her creative interests together with her passion for helping others. She strives to blend creative outlets with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to allow those she treats to work through loss and change, cope with past trauma, heal from difficult experiences, cope with difficult relationships, and life stressors. Totty has worked in a variety of settings from Inpatient, Residential, Day Treatment, and Outpatient and has treated children, adolescents, and adults. She has over 30 years of experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief and loss, life changes, and trauma. She strives to learn new skills and challenge herself to grow along with the people she serves.
