In his role at Pasadena Villa, Phillip brings a person-centered, strength-focused, and passionate therapeutic perspective that is grounded in resilience to promote long-term recovery. He brings over 13 years of experience as a behavioral and mental health professional, serving various populations. His experience includes working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, at-risk youth with co-occurring disorders (and their family systems), children and families in Tennessee’s foster care system, residential alcohol and drug counseling, and outpatient mental health counseling. Phillip is skilled at building strong therapeutic relationships and is passionate about helping create opportunities for lasting healthy change. Phillip received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English (literature) from the University of Tennessee, and his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling from Johnson University. He has received additional training in Schema Therapy.
