Mi is a Qualified Supervisor and a certified Master’s Level Addiction Professional (MCAP) through the Florida Certification Board. Since 2003, Mi has worked passionately to help clients understand their mental health and behavioral issues to properly identify and approach their problems and to develop coping skills, self-esteem, and self-confidence. Mi uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and a variety of counseling techniques for individual, group, and family therapy to those diagnosed with depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorders.  For the past nine years, Mi has enjoyed working with children and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse. Her focus recently has been working with adults and families dealing with dual diagnosis in a residential treatment setting. Mi acquired her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, Korea and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maine. She is currently in the process of obtaining a Qualified Supervisor Certification from the Board of Social Workers. Mi is also a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers.
