Marcia brings over seven years of experience in mental health and a passion for helping others learn positive life skills to improve and enhance their quality of life. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults across settings that include crisis stabilization, alcohol and drug recovery, foster care residential therapy, and individual therapy for children and adults. Marcia utilizes a variety of approaches to provide the most comprehensive and tailored strategies for her clients. She has received specialized training in trauma including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP) continuing education courses. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Walden University, has earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and has an undergraduate degree in psychology and social sciences. As a scholar-practitioner, Marcia is dedicated to researching the latest approaches and utilizing proven methods to help clients achieve positive outcomes for long-term recovery results.
