Madison is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a National Certified Counselor who aims to provide a space for individuals to challenge unhealthy coping mechanisms, address changes they would like to make with confidence, and explore the thoughts and feelings that may make it difficult to meet their goals. Madison has 4 years of experience in the mental health field in various settings ranging from hospital treatment to outpatient treatment. Madison has a passion for working with folks in the LGBTQ+ community, those who are living with depression and/or anxiety, those who are struggling to adjust to difficult life transitions, those experiencing suicidal ideation and self-injurious behavior, as well as those working toward recovery from eating disorders. Madison believes that each client is unique, the expert of their own life, and deserving of individualized treatment to best meet their needs.
Madison received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University in 2015. Following this, Madison earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University. Madison acquired experience in facilitating various teen and adult groups focusing on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Body Image, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Goal Setting, and management of crises through completion of her practicum and internship in residential treatment, partial hospitalization programming, and intensive outpatient programming serving those living with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Madison has also worked to provide outpatient treatment using skills and interventions learned from experience in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist those working to live happier and healthier lives they deem worth living.
