Executive Director, Pasadena Villa Outpatient - Triad
Kristin Cheshire comes to Pasadena Villa with a wide variety of clinical and leadership experiences. Kristin got her start in the behavioral health field over 10 years ago as a Mental Health Technician and found a passion for helping individuals recover from recurrent and severe mental health concerns. She has since received her master’s degree at NC Agricultural and Technical State University and is dually licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Addictions Specialist.
Kristin has served in several leadership positions since receiving her licenses with a focus on program and team development. Kristin had a large role in creating programming for both the adolescent and adult units at Cone Behavioral Health Hospital during her tenure and was the Clinical Team Lead for the assessment department for the hospital system. She also served as the Clinical Coordinator for Legacy Freedom Treatment Center in Greensboro and oversaw daily operations, programming, and clinical services. In her most recent position as Team Lead at the Kellin Foundation Kristin was able to drive her team to meet the goals of a national grant source- the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
Kristin has extensive clinical experience working in various settings. In her most recent work, Kristin received a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to work with children who have PTSD symptoms from abuse, neglect, or other traumatic experiences. Kristin also has extensive experience working with adults with pervasive mental health concerns and has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings providing group and individual therapy.
