Dominique Harris

Dominique is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working towards becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Dominique completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in her hometown of Barbados. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and has since remained in the Orlando area. Dominque has experience working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and adverse life experiences. She also has experience working with adults suffering with addiction and severe mental illness such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia (and related disorders) in residential treatment settings and has a passion for advocacy and addressing the stigma associated with addiction and mental illness. Dominique utilizes an eclectic treatment approach and is primarily trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In addition, she has clinical training as it relates to the consideration of race, culture, and identity in addressing the mental health needs of clients.
