Daniel has worked in behavioral health settings in the Southeast for several years and has been in the Triangle area since 2005. He began his career as an outpatient therapist at a local community mental health agency, then as a therapist at a residential substance abuse program. Since moving to the Raleigh Durham area, he has participated in the development and implementation of several evidenced-based (EB) treatment services to include the first Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) team in North Carolina, Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT), and Wellness Management and Recovery which is modeled off of EBP Illness Management and Recovery (IMR).
Daniel obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology / Biology from the University of North Alabama and his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from East Tennessee State University. While in graduate school, he interned on the admissions unit at the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Marion VA and worked as a clinical case manager at Magnolia Ridge Residential Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center in Johnson City.
