Alynne graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy. She attended Appalachian State University for her undergraduate work in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and minor in Psychology. Alynne is an artist, singer, poet, actor, and lover of all things creative.
She has six years of professional counseling experience and is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Systems of Care (SOC) and a MARI practitioner (Mandala Assessment Research Instrument). Alynne is in the process of obtaining her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and her Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) certification. She has worked with multiple populations including clients with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, pre-marital, marital, divorce, parenting, grief, adjustment/transition, trauma, sexual, physical, emotional, mental abuse, and adults with disabilities. Alynne works individually as well as in group settings, and, for the past several years, has been working with adults and adolescents with eating disorders and is extremely passionate about this population. She loves educating others in the community about the struggle of body image, social media myths, self-compassion, empowerment, and resiliency.
