The words “inpatient rehabilitation” may sound intimidating, but for many patients, the experience turns out to be one of the best things to happen to them. Inpatient rehab may be ideal for young adults with mental health disorders requiring longer term care and who may also be present with a drug or alcohol addiction.

The inpatient setting provides an opportunity for personalized care provided by highly experienced staff, which is qualified and licensed. Many residents find this kind of environment “safe” and even a haven from the difficulties of the “real” world while they heal, recover and begin to learn important life skills and readjust to the outside world.

In addition to twenty-four hour professional care, often the company of others with similar issues and situations is helpful to residents. Being surrounded by other residents provides a sense of not being alone or not being the only one in the world with “problems.”

Watching residents gain skills and confidence in themselves as they move through their program and recovery is rewarding for them, their families, and the staff.

The Villa Orlando and Pasadena Villa’s Smoky Mountain Lodge are adult intensive psychiatric residential treatment centers for clients with serious mental illnesses. We also provide other individualized therapy programs, step-down residential programs, and less intensive mental health services, such as Community Residential Homes, Supportive Housing, Day Treatment Programs and Life Skills training. Pasadena Villa’s Outpatient Center in Raleigh, North Carolina offers partial hospitalization (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (PHP). If you or someone you know may need mental health services, please complete our contact form or call us at 877-845-5235 for more information.
