Schizophrenia is a serious medical illness that affects over 2 million American adults. If left untreated, schizophrenia can result in severe problems that affect every area of the patient's life: emotional, health, and even legal and financial. Complications that paranoid schizophrenics may suffer from include:

Schizophrenia Treatment Options
While there is no cure for schizophrenia, it is a treatable and manageable disease. Research shows that people with schizophrenia who attend structured psychosocial rehabilitation programs and continue with their medical treatment manage their illness the best.
Pasadena Villa Orlando, located in Central Florida, is an adult intensive residential treatment center for patients with adult schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or other mental illnesses. One of the first programs in the country to base its treatment upon social integration, our mental health facility offers help through individual and group residential programs with a focus on independent living. Pasadena Villa Orlando opened in 2002 and is licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
Our schizophrenia treatment program includes a full medical and psychiatric work-up, therapy, assisted living, medication management, education, and support. We offer:
